Abstract

This paper explains the different forms in which liberalism associated with federalist governments, manage to achieve continuity during the central republic in Mexico (1836-1846) putting into effect the old right of petition used by the citizens, as individuals, and not as part of corporations. To exercise the right of petition in this period of the history of the forms of government in the republic, to open a new stage in Mexican political culture.
