Abstract

IRIGOYEN MORALES, León Felipe. Work strategy to consolidate a Lexicon for graphic. Zincografía [online]. 2020, vol.4, n.8, pp.62-77.  Epub Sep 01, 2020. ISSN 2448-8437.  https://doi.org/10.32870/zcr.v0i8.84.

The diverse and imprecise usage of Graphic Design related terms has generated many problems both in academic and professional communication. The research described in here does not pretends to restrict the use of the disciplinary language, but rather to support the higher education of designers, especially in Spanish-speaking regions. It intends to consolidate a common repertoire, clearly explained and consolidated among peers, with the intention of mitigating, as far as possible, the varied interpretations of essential concepts. This can be achieved through a practical, flexible and updated document, which integrates the broad lexicon that, according to academic consensus, every designer should know and manage proficiently.

Keywords : graphic design; higher education; consensus; language.
