Abstract

VAZQUEZ MARTINEZ, Alejandro Ernesto. Jóvenes en prisión: aproximaciones antropológicas en torno a la política penitenciaria. Cuicuilco. Rev. cienc. antropol. [online]. 2017, vol.24, n.69, pp.229-252. ISSN 2448-8488.

The anthropologic approximations developed in the article come from the areas of study of the Anthropology of the Violence and from the Critical Criminology. It is a question of the analysis of the punitive exercise on the part of the state institutions, specifically of the penal and penitentiary system directed young who are situated in imprisonment. The analysis is realized across the theoretical investigation and with the own foundations of the ethnographic method; providing that the theoretical constructions are pertinent, they join with the ethnographic exploration where there can be heard/read the word of the subject that he speaks and is narrated. The dimensions considered in these approximations are those that correspond to the notions of the social link between individual / subject, society and State, with singular emphasis in the silencing of the word of the young persons across the technologies and the penitentiary procedures and the consistent spoliation of the possibility of being realized in his human condition.

Keywords : Public policy; penitentiary policy; youth; prison; state; society.
