Abstract

SABORIT-OLIVA, Eliannys et al. Prognostic factors of anesthetic morbidity in geriatric patients undergoing laparoscopic video cholecystectomy. Anest. Méx. [online]. 2019, vol.31, n.1, pp.13-29. ISSN 2448-8771.

Introduction:

People older than 65 years are considered geriatric patients. Cholelithiasis is described as the presence of stones in the gallbladder, the risk factors for the emergence of litos include age, sex, previous medical conditions and medications.

Objective:

To identify risk factors hypothetically related to the occurrence of anaesthetic complications during cholecystectomy video laparoscopic in geriatric patients. Method: A prospective longitudinal cohort study was performed in geriatric patients laparoscopic colecistectomizados.

Results:

There were three times more likely to develop anaesthetic complications in patients who consume tobacco than those who don't. Patients with age greater than or equal to 75 years, doubled the risk of developing complications. Alcoholism was a risk factor. Neumologica and cardiovascular comorbidity is a prognostic factor to increase six times the risk of anesthetic complications. As well as anemia. More 60-minute surgery presented four times higher risk of developing complications.

Conclusions:

Smoking and alcoholism are risk factors of anesthetic complications. Major Comorbidities were cardiac, cardiovascular, anemia and patients with obesity. More than 60-minute surgery time and classification of ASA III or IV, are risk factors for occurrence of anaesthetic complications during video laparoscopic cholecystectomy in geriatric patients.

Keywords : Pronostic factor of anesthetic morbility; diclofenac; preventive analgesia; postoperative pain.
