This article deals with a study on digital skills in secondary school teachers in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador, through dimensional analysis and the influence of a web design developed in Moodle for the improvement of digital skills in teachers. His approach was quantitative with a descriptive - correlational scope and non-longitudinal experimental design by pre-post test model, the unit of analysis was 53 teachers applying non-probabilistic sampling for convenience. For the diagnosis (pre-test) and measurement of the stimulus (post-test) two instruments adapted to the context of the research were used, their names were: University teacher training and Digital teaching competencies applied virtually. The results after the stimulus were that 88.67% improved their abilities to innovate in the field of communication, also in terms of content creation and digital literacy teachers obtained 84.9% and 83.02%.
