Abstract

GARCIA FUENTES, Paola  and  GUTIERREZ HUERTER O, Gabriela. The Mexican Dual Training Model and Higher Secondary Education in the State of Hidalgo, Mexico. Rev. latinoam. estud. educ. [online]. 2023, vol.53, n.1, pp.339-367.  Epub Oct 02, 2023. ISSN 2448-878X.  https://doi.org/10.48102/rlee.2023.53.1.537.

The purpose of this paper is to show the perspectives of companies, school tutors and graduates on the Mexican Dual Training Model (MMFD) in the CBTIS of the State of Hidalgo. For this, we followed a mixed methodology using semi-structured interviews and a questionnaire to find out the perception of the MMFD. In this way, we identified an articulation between education and employment and that the MMFD generates and promotes new dynamics. Likewise, we observed effects such as the development of competencies in graduates and internships in companies and the reach in employability by graduates. We set out conclusions and recommendations for its application in Mexico.

Keywords : dual training; competencies; employability; youth; Mexico.
