Abstract
POSADA ESCOBAR, Jorge Jairo and ROZO SANDOVAL, Ana Claudia. Intercultural Pedagogical Practices: An Ethnographic Study in Multicultural Schools in Bogotá. Rev. latinoam. estud. educ. [online]. 2023, vol.53, n.3, pp.71-95. Epub Oct 06, 2023. ISSN 2448-878X. https://doi.org/10.48102/rlee.2023.53.3.579.
This article presents an investigation carried out to characterize the intercultural pedagogical practices of three public education institutions in which students from the city of Bogotá coexist with indigenous, Afro, and migrant students, the investigation was carried out from the perspective of critical school ethnography to identify possibilities, challenges and contributions to the configuration of intercultural pedagogies. The work showed the pedagogical/political commitment of the teachers, implicit in their practices; the bets for a formation in humanist, historical, and critical perspective; the assessment of methodologies raised from “lived experience” as a way of approaching students to contemporary social and cultural problems. The importance of thinking about the school-community relationship in dialogue with invisible identities and knowledge is claimed to move towards intercultural pedagogies for all.
