Abstract

ANGULO-AGUILAZOCHO, María Soledad. Linking and Socio-educational Networks at the Autonomous Indigenous University of Mexico. Rev. latinoam. estud. educ. [online]. 2023, vol.53, n.3, pp.665-692.  Epub Oct 06, 2023. ISSN 2448-878X.  https://doi.org/10.48102/rlee.2023.53.3.567.

This essay presents the results of a recent investigation whose purpose was to analytically describe the socio-educational networks at the Universidad Autónoma Indígena de México. The interest is focused on the confusion expressed by the informants about the meanings associated with the management of the link and of the socio-educational networks. The generating question consists of finding out what obstacles inhibit the practice of socio-educational networks, as well as the management and imbrication with the substantive institutional axes, among which the community link in an Intercultural University stands out. It is an ethnographic field research of a qualitative nature. In the results it was evidenced that the RRSS do not exist, it stands out in the context of social and digital gaps, lack of training, supplies, resources, and intra-UAIM communication. The informants confuse the link with the role of social networks. In short, the UAIM socio-educational actors must rethink the role of the university in the face of the climate of the time and demands that rebuke competencies in the strategic use of the RRSS in all areas of life, including academics and work.

Keywords : socio-educational networks; intercultural universities; community outreach.
