Abstract

ELGUEA ECHAVARRIA, Pedro Alejandro; MONARES ZEPEDA, Enrique; PALACIOS CHAVARRIA, Adrián  and  HERNANDEZ-GILSOUL, Thierry. Frontline guides for SARS-CoV-2. Critical Care Assessment of hypoxemia, necessity intubation and rapid response. Med. crít. (Col. Mex. Med. Crít.) [online]. 2021, vol.35, n.1, pp.54-56.  Epub Feb 28, 2022. ISSN 2448-8909.

A balance needs to be struck between early detection of the patient, which must be evaluated by an expert, and the over-activation of rapid response teams. The objective of this guide is to help the doctor with less experience in critical care to correctly evaluate hypoxemia and in the detection of cases where the evaluation of a more experienced doctor is necessary.

Keywords : COVID-19; rapid response; risk assessment; intubation criteria; hypoxia assessment.
