Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a disease with abnormal proliferation of myeloid progenitor cells. The frequency of acute leukemia in pediatric population is 15-20%. Mexican female patient with AML (FAB M4) who presented karyotype 46,XX,t(2;11)(q31;p15), detected FLT3-ITD duplication and expression for CD34, CD13, CD65, CD11c and MPO by flow cytometry. This case is the tenth in international literature with t(2;11)(q31;p15) and the first described in association with FLT3-ITD mutation.
