Abstract
CAMACHO-HERNANDEZ, Leonel et al. Pharyngosophageal reconstruction through pectoral flap after total larynguectomy in cancer of laringe. Gac. mex. oncol. [online]. 2021, vol.20, suppl.1, pp.134-137. Epub Aug 22, 2022. ISSN 2565-005X. https://doi.org/10.24875/j.gamo.20000169.
Reconstruction of the anterolateral pharyngoesophageal wall after total laryngectomy in laryngeal cancer is usually performed using the free flap technique (jejunum, radial) with greater preservation of swallowing in case of interposition of gastrointestinal tissue or pectoral flap, however, when the recipient tissue was previously irradiated, the quality of the vascular anastomosis is limited as a function of the intensity of local fibrosis. We present a clinical case with reconstruction of the anterolateral pharyngoesophageal wall using the pectoral flap and the results depending on the swallowing and aesthetics obtained.
