Melanoma is the most letal skin cancer. Its location in the frontonasal region is very unusual. The mortality of melanoma is high when it presents factors of poor prognosis. A 76-year-old female patient who consulted the emergency room due to the sensation of a prominent mass of 7x6 cm in diameter and bleeding 2 months ago. The case of a malignant melanoma in an unusual location and with poor prognostic predictors for metastasis and mortality is presented. Further research on the molecular and genetic biology of melanoma is imperative to understand this phenomenon.
