Abstract

REYES-ESPARZA, Arturo; MIRANDA-CASTANON, Francisco; AMAYA-TELLEZ, Mariana  and  GONZALEZ-GARCIA, Edgardo. Benign metastasizing leiomyoma: Case report. Gac. mex. oncol. [online]. 2022, vol.21, suppl.1, pp.123-127.  Epub Sep 11, 2023. ISSN 2565-005X.  https://doi.org/10.24875/j.gamo.22000023.

Benign metastatic leiomyatosis is a very rare disease with less than 200 cases reported in the literature. It is a rare proliferative variant of smooth muscle fibers in places far from the uterus in patients with a history of hysterectomy, the lung being the most frequent site of these. These tumors are usually slow growing and have a favorable prognosis. Their clinical manifestations depend on the site they involve, the number and size of the tumors. Surgical treatment is usually curative.

Keywords : Leiomyoma; Metastatic; Benign.
