Abstract
LAGUNA-BARCENAS, José et al. Hybrid management of abdominal aortic pseudoaneurysm. Report of a case. Rev. mex. angiol. [online]. 2022, vol.50, n.3, pp.114-118. Epub Oct 13, 2022. ISSN 2696-130X. https://doi.org/10.24875/rma.22000007.
Pseudoaneurysms of the abdominal aorta are blood-filled cavities formed between the muscularis propria and the adventitia. These lesions can occur after vessel injury, open-closed trauma, percutaneous surgical procedures, autoimmune diseases and pseudoaneurysms of infectious etiology, known as mycotic. Treatment options are open surgical intervention, endovascular repair, direct injection of thrombin with subsequent thrombosis of the aneurysmal sac, and embolization. The objective of this analysis is to describe a clinical case of a 64-year-old woman affected by an infrarenal abdominal aortic pseudoaneurysm, which was successfully treated with a hybrid procedure. The postoperative period was uneventful, the patient was hemodynamically stable, and she was discharged 48 hours after the event.
