Secuencia has been published uninterruptedly three times a year,since its foundation in 1985, by the Instituto de Investigaciones Dr. José María Luis Mora. This journal seeks to promote the study of the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean from the perspective of history and other disciplines in the social sciences. Edits previously unpublished works that constitute original contributions to their respective fields of knowledge. Secuencia includes in-depth articles, specialized interviews, bibliographical essays and reviews of recently published books.Contributions are selected on the basis of anonymous evaluation by two independent reviewers.
