Resumen
GONZALEZ VARELA, José Édgar. The Arguments from the Sciences in the Peri ideōn. Nova tellus [online]. 2010, vol.28, n.2, pp.103-144. ISSN 0185-3058.
In the treatise On Ideas (Peri ideōn) Aristotle critically discusses five platonic arguments in favour of the existence of Ideas. In Metaphysics A, 9 the same author indicates that three of these arguments are less accurate than the other two. The usual interpretation of the Peri ideōn holds that this is due to the fact that they are not valid to establish Ideas. Against this claim, in this paper I propose a new interpretation about the first group of "less accurate" arguments, the arguments from the sciences. According to my proposal these are, jointly, valid to conclude the existence of Ideas.
