Resumen
BOLSI, Francisco. Elite Families, Revolution, War: An Approach Based on an Analysis of the Posse Clan in Tucumán, Argentina, 1810-1830. Secuencia [online]. 2010, n.76, pp.40-73. ISSN 2395-8464.
The main contribution of this research was to analyze the process of revolution and independence begun in 1810 in light of the contributions requested to maintain the revolutionary army and its influence on the Tucumán elite, particularly the Posse family. The initiator of this family clan was a successful merchant of Spanish origin, who possessed one of the largest fortunes in the city of San Miguel de Tucumán in 1813. His sons, who were born in the region, were also in commerce. In this respect, this article explores the effect of the contributions requested in the family circle and the strategies used by the Posse to survive the revolutionary period.
