The tourist activities are given a great importance today. It is thus necessary to analyse the extent of its participation in the economic development of the country. In this paper on Touristic Geography the autor studies the main changes that tourism is going to cause in the physical environment as much as in the social and economic aspects of human life of the Zihuatanejo region, and also stresses the lack of an adecuate planification of the economic development in which tourism should be one of the activities involved but not the only of importance.
