The purpose of this paper was to depict the current land use cover mapping in "Terra Indígena" (Indigenous Land) Sangradouro/Volta Grande-MT (Brazil). The techniques employed consisted in the application of Linear Mixing Model, synthetic image segmentation and supervised classification of the segmented components. The surface computation corresponding to the use cover class permitted to assess the actual situation of "Terra Indígena" within the environmental context.
