GUZMAN-ROSAS, Susana Carolina  y  KLEICHE-DRAY, Mina. The Inclusion of Indigenous Traditional Knowledge in the Public Policies of the Mexican State. Gest. polít. pública [online]. 2017, vol.26, n.2, pp.297-339. ISSN 1405-1079.

This work analyzes the incorporation of indigenous traditional knowledge on traditional medicine in the Mexican public policies through the public expenditure destined to the topic. For it ten governmental institutions were characterized and identified, requesting them for keywords the respective information through the Federal Institute of Access to the Information and Protection of Information. The systematizing and processing of the information show that these institutions added 681 projects between 2002-2012, showing the terms in which the Mexican government has included the indigenous traditional knowledge from the recognition of Mexico as multicultural nation in 2001. The discussion integrates the involved actors perspective, concluding that indigenous traditional medicine has been attended mostly as cultural category, valued more as patrimony that as knowledge, filtering this way up to the agenda of environmental protection, but her integration scarcely appears in a social horizon that demands major incorporation.
