The objective of this work was to characterize the cultural consumption of the residents of the city of Bahia Blanca, Argentina. A quantitative methodology, based on descriptive statistics, was used. The database was built from a survey carried out by us in 2019 and based on the design of Sinca (2017). Of those surveyed, 98% have carried out some cultural activity. However, the geographic and age distribution of the cultural local demand is uneven. Thus, the economic-cultural policy should be oriented towards developing cultural access mechanisms that are more generalized and focused on young people.
