The study of the life and works of the major general Antonio Maceo Grajales has been carried out by notable Cuban and Mexican authors. There is a need to know the most important characteristics of these bibliographies; only a few Cuban researchers have developed a critical historiographic approach and are generally limited to national borders. According to the author's criterion, this work examines how the main publications on Antonio Maceo have focused on the thematics of Latin America, the Caribbean and the United States. This has been done by gathering data from the Historiographic Registry about Antonio Maceo (Navarro, Álvarez, 2012).
