Resumen

LICHTENSZTEJN, Samuel. The International Monetary Fund and the World Bank: Their Relations with the Financial Power. Economía UNAM [online]. 2012, vol.9, n.25, pp.14-28. ISSN 1665-952X.

It develops the suppositions and hypothesis on the functioning and the path that it has characterized to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and to the World Bank (BM) from his creation. There is analyzed the paper that they have developed and a critical reflection offers on his practices. They warn his consequences from a historical perspective, con-sidering the trends of the capitalism in his set and of the economic national formations, beyond the happened in the capture of decisions and of his macroeconomic results and they give some conclusions on the paper that they have recovered in the development of the countries where his policies were applied.
