The aim of this article is to know how the interior of the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) complied a stream called New Left (NI), which became the dominant, and directed the destinies of the party between 2008 and 2015, becoming the more organized in terms of its structure, with presence in different areas of the party. Highlights their political struggles with other currents when it made prevail its programmatic stance. Several currents have been grouped to make counterweight and compete with it. Despite their internal organization as current, during the time that neither directed the destinies of the PRD, the electoral presence of the party declined and lost strength as a left-wing opposition.
