RICCIO-CUOMO, Federica A. et al. Peritoneal implants derived from a poorly treated immature teratoma: a case report. Gac. mex. oncol. [online]. 2023, vol.22, suppl.1, pp.36-40. Epub 11-Sep-2023. ISSN 2565-005X. https://doi.org/10.24875/j.gamo.22000096.
We present a case report of a 27-year-old female patient treated in the state of Puebla, Mexico; diagnosed with immature teratoma after a left salpingo-oophorectomy performed by a non-oncologist without receiving adjuvant therapy or follow-up of any kind; months later, she comes to our health center due to diffuse symptoms of abdominal predominance. A comprehensive evaluation of the patient is carried out to discover that it is caused by peritoneal implants, to which the treating physician requests adjuvant therapy with BEP: bleomycin, etoposide, and paclitaxel continued with conservative treatment.
