This article makes a balance about the performance of the alliance, called "Alianza por el Bien de Todos", in between the Partido de la Revolución Democrática (PRD) (Democratical Revolution Party), the Partido del Trabajo (PT) (Labor Party) and the Partido Convergencia (Pe) (Convergence Party) during the july 2006 election in the Federal District. The authoress analizes in a historical perspective, how the alliance has developed its influence and power in the Federal District throughout its support network, its local leaders and its social movements, all of them in looking for retain its support source in this region of the country.
