HERRERA, O.; JEREZ, V.; ARRIETA, N. y CAMACHO, G.. Transshipment and routing model for multi-product planning and distribution at a refreshment company in Bogota, Colombia. J. appl. res. technol [online]. 2022, vol.20, n.4, pp.408-417. Epub 05-Mayo-2023. ISSN 2448-6736. https://doi.org/10.22201/icat.24486736e.2022.20.4.1330.
This article establishes a model for planning the weekly distribution of soft drinks in a company that produces 6 types of beverages in 3 Production Centers, with the potential to use 3 Distribution Centers and supplying 22 Consumer Centers located in Bogotá. Due to the impact of transportation costs on the company's profits, it is necessary to determine the optimal planning for the allocation of sources to destinations in the nodal network of the system and its subsequent routing with two types of vehicles. Therefore, a two-phase model is proposed. In the first, the initial optimal assignments are established by comparing two techniques; one based on the Open Transshipment Problem (OTP) and the other on the Capacitated Transshipment Problem (CTP). In phase II, the routes were established through the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP). Obtaining in Phase I the use of the OTM model, which presented 14% less distance; 2.6% less time and 0.28% less total cost compared to the CTP model.
