Resumen

FIGUEROA-SAAVEDRA, Miguel. La estudiante de Bellas Artes y la generización masculina del artista creativo. Nueva antropol [online]. 2010, vol.23, n.72, pp.121-144. ISSN 0185-0636.

Professional artistic training in the Western culture involves a professional model that has to be internalized as masculine according to a cultural and corporative definition. Since 1980 in Spain the increasing presence of women in the artistic educational system has questioned this genderizing aspect of the formation, and the masculine sense of "artistic creativity" as professional competence. Therefore, some situations induce women to become "reproductive artist", or to adapt their feminity to an androgynous image due to the perception that the essentially "female" is incompatible with the figure of the "creative artist".

Palabras llave : artistic education; woman artist; gender; creativity.
