Within the framework of a broader investigation —“Psycopathia lascasiana”—, the first part of which studies Menéndez Pidal's criticism of Las Casas and which is taken further here, analyzing an essay by the great Hispanist Américo Castro —“Fray Bartolomé de las Casas or Casaus”— in light of the Nietzschean notion of the will to power that runs through him underground and of some psychoanalytic drifts associated with “paranoid delusion”.
