KIDO CRUZ, Antonio  y  KIDO CRUZ, Ma. Teresa. The Estimation of the Direct Multiplier Effect on the Changes of the Final Tourist Demand in Mexico: An Input-Output analysis. Econ: teor. práct [online]. 2018, n.49, pp.37-63. ISSN 2448-7481.  https://doi.org/10.24275/etypuam/ne/492018/kido.

The importance for studying a final demand impact on tourism is supported by the tourism sector contribution to the gross domestic product (GDP), during the last years this participation was about 8 percent. This paper aims to present the multiplier impact form tourism sector on the production, employment and added value in Mexico in 2013. For this purpose, an input-tourist product matrix is constructed from which it is possible to model two impacts: investment in the new Mexican airport and investment in the household sector also known as FIBRAS in Spanish. It concludes a positive and significant effect on production, employment and added value before the scenarios of simulated changes.

Palabras llave : Multiplier effect; production; employment; added value; tourism; C67; E01.
