ORTIZ, Horacio y VAZQUEZ, Daniel. Impunity, corruption and human rights. Perf. latinoam. [online]. 2021, vol.29, n.57, pp.167-194. Epub 06-Sep-2021. ISSN 0188-7653. https://doi.org/10.18504/pl2957-007-2021.
The objective of the article is to analyze the impact that corruption and impunity have on human rights violations. For this, several statistical models were build. In conclusion, there are certain types of human rights violations that are perpetrated through acts of corruption. To the extent that neither the act of corruption nor that violation is punished, impunity becomes a context that encourages the perpetrator to continue committing the same acts of corruption, which will generate new human rights violations. When corruption and impunity combine, both become structural patterns of human rights violations.
