SABIDO COUOH, Carlos R. et al. Adaptación de un micrométodo espectrofotométrico para determinación de fósforo en hueso. Rev. latinoam. quím [online]. 2010, vol.38, n.2, pp.113-122. ISSN 0370-5943.
The aim of this work was to adapt the method of phosphorus (P) determination proposed by the A.O.A.C. (2005) in order to work with bone samples obtained through biopsy with a size being equal or smaller to 0.5g. Samples of the twelfth rib of ovines were collected, by means of biopsy. After adapting the method concerning the amount of used reagents, several calculations were carried out: the percentage of recovery, the precision and exactitude, sensitivity and linearity. The percentage of recovery was 89.97; the method showed 6.3% of precision and 3.56% exactitude; sensitivity of calibration was 0.132 μg-1 and the linearity was 0.999. It is concluded that it is feasible to determine P in bone samples of a size equal or smaller to 0.5 g by means of the use of the modified technique of A.O.A.C. (2005) adapted to micro-samples. This modified technique demonstrated to be reliable when considering these analytical parameters.
