Resumen
PAVO ACOSTA, Rolando. Postgraduate legal research in Latin America. Tla-melaua [online]. 2015, vol.9, n.38, pp.72-93. ISSN 2594-0716.
Between the pathologies present in the development of the scientific research of the postgraduate degree in Law, in some Latin American countries, are reductionism, legal fundamentalism and methodological issues. They are appreciable in their frequent use in the model of dogmatic legal research and are the logical product considering the strength of formalistic legal positivism. This has derived from insufficiencies in the development of legal research methodology and the quality of the research. Such factors have determined the need to replace this research model with others that integrate contributions from the traditional juridical or ius philosophical conceptions and those from the most contemporary; and considering the complexity of law, should be supported by legal methods and the other social sciences.
