ROJAS PARMA, Lorena. The Silence of Love: Desire, Question and Self-knowledge. En-clav. pen [online]. 2018, vol.12, n.23, pp.67-91. ISSN 2594-1100.
The article proposes to philosophically inquire the affirmation desire is a question, by Luis Cernuda. This inquiry involves links with the ancient relationship between Eros and Wisdom, Desire, and Self-knowledge, which Socrates and Plato raised especially in dialogues dedicated to love. Likewise, Cernuda's assertion about the lack of the answer to which the desire aspires raises the importance of considering the nature of the question which remains intact -like the lover- despite the absence of response. finally we shown that desire as a question is a special state for reflection that gives rise to dialogue with itself, showing an important way of self-knowledge.
