In recent years, three-dimensional recording and analysis techniques have considerably developed, to the extent of becoming a key supporting tool for the preservation of cultural heritage. This RESEARCH presents the Laboratorio de Documentación y Análisis Tridimensional (Lab3D, Three-dimensional Documentation and Analysis Laboratory) Coordinación Nacional del Conservación del Patrimonio Cultural (CNCPC, National Coordination for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage) Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (INAH, National Institute for Anthropology and History), Mexico. It also explores the case study of the three-dimensional recording of a series of decorative stone reliefs from the archeological site of Tula, Hidalgo, Mexico, which will be of use in the monitoring and the decision-making processes for the conservation of this important cultural heritage.
