BINETTI, María José. “The Woman does not Exist”. On Conceptual and Symbolic Violence of Constructivist post-Feminism. Valenciana [online]. 2023, vol.16, n.31, pp.217-240. Epub 28-Abr-2023. ISSN 2007-2538. https://doi.org/10.15174/rv.v15i31.701.
Assuming that all ontology is a totalitarian, colonialist and normative meta-narrative, postmodernity interpreted -by default- that the production of pure discursive fictions and social identifications without ontological commitments would imply a liberating performance. In the particular case of sexual difference, queer or trans-feminist postmodernity has considered that the socio-imaginary production of multiple self-identified genders would liberate women from the oppression of being such. The following pages aim at explaining why the de-ontologization of sexual difference and its replacement by countless socio-imaginary identifications is an act of conceptual, epistemic, and symbolic violence, the basis for any other violence.
