LUNA-GIJON, Gerardo  y  PORRAS-HERNANDEZ, Laura Helena. Validation of an instructional model focused on the design of digital learning materials. Investigación educ. médica [online]. 2014, vol.3, n.11, pp.123-130. ISSN 2007-5057.

Introduction: In the present day, medical teaching staff needs to incorporate digital materials in the classroom. This approach functions optimally when it has a guide that supports its development, helping the teacher instill and develop clinical reasoning in their students. Objective: Develop and validate an instructional model for the design of digital educational materials that support the teaching of clinical reasoning at undergraduate level. Method: The first version of the model was realized with the Delphi technique, in which a panel of experts from two medicine faculties participated. Each were asked to analyze the model and make recommendations based on the following: 1) the effectiveness of the proposed stages, 2) adaptation to the conditions and needs of medicine teaching staff, and 3) the level of difficulty and time required for the execution of the model. Results: The results indicate high levels of acceptance of the model by the experts. It was confirmed that the model's stages and steps were suitable and valuable. Minor changes in terms of execution time and ease of use were signaled for part time teachers, which led to an alternative version of the model that focused on this profile. Conclusions: This study provided evidence for the viability of supporting medical teaching staff in the design of digital educational materials by means of an instructional model that instills and develops clinical reasoning in undergraduate medical students.
