The objective was to propose a theoretical framework to explain the relationship of competitive actions with organizational performance from a competitive dynamic perspective. The qualitative method of systematic analysis of documents published in journals with the highest impact factor was applied. Results. The theoretical framework that relates the constructs under study based on the theory of organization and strategic management was built. The following dimensions were added to the competitive dynamic perspective: strategic, sensitivity, resource flexibility, resource flow, strategictlexibility and speed in decision-making for competitive actions. Discussion. In the past, the study of the relationships of the environment with the organization was carried out from a static perspetive, today the dynamic aspects of the competitive environment in which organization interact are highlighted, implementing competitive actions in response to the actions of rivals by achieve high levels of organizational performance and a better position in the market. The article is original by highlighting that the competitive perspective is a link that relates the theory of the organization with the strategic management, in the past these fields of knowledge were studied independently. The proposal has no limits in its application to different organizations, it is necessary to identify the variables to be observed when conducting empirical research.
