This paper analyzes the plurality of forms of love between couples, based on love stories among Argentine gay men from Greater Buenos Aires. Drawing on social studies of love and pragmatist sociologies, it provides clues for problematizing love monism, which assumes that there is only one reason for love choices. The paper describes how the couple-world network is stabilized in four regimes of love: heroic, partnerial, passionate, and communicative. Because of the centrality of bodies in emotions, each regime is associated to a defining corporal movement.
