This article examines the levels of democracy in Latin America and their evolution, based on data provided by the main indicators on the state of democracy. The data show regional heterogeneity, with levels of democratic fatigue varying across places and times. The analysis also confirms the growing citizen fatigue, manifested in the crisis of representation, as evidenced by the exhaustion of political parties, the loss of confidence in institutions and high levels of democratic dissatisfaction amid the rapid sociocultural changes brought about by the digital revolution.
