CALDERON CANALES, Elena et al. Science Lab: digital technologies and teachers' adaptation. Apert. (Guadalaj., Jal.) [online]. 2016, vol.8, n.1, 00004. ISSN 2007-1094.
The new science laboratories for the UNAM high-school is a space that allows the development of educational activities that promote learning through conceptual and representational transformation, collaboration and integration of experimentation with the use of ICT in the subjects of Biology, Physics and Chemistry. In this article we present the results of the methods of use and type of technological resources that teachers use in the introductory phase (first time of use in a regular course) of the new laboratories. Results show an initial process of adaptability and use of resources, although most teachers begin transferring their traditional practice to the new space, others have begun to incorporate a variety of resources and increase their skills and confidence in laboratory use. This development shows that teachers have a better understanding of educational approach, which will allow them to develop processes and strategies for incorporating ICT into their science education activities.
