This paper aims to describe a cycle of reflection carried out in a course on professional development and knowledge of the mathematics teacher, belonging to the Master in Mathematical Education of the University of Granada. Reflection starts from a professional problem and is carried out under the theoretical approaches of Smith (1991), from the perspective of the student / trainer. We describe the process carried out along the course. Finally we discuss some of the possible contributions of this cycle can promote on professional development of teacher trainers.
