The present study seeks to identify, through a systematic literature review, if family businesses engage in social practices of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and whether these practices contribute to business sustainability in the long term and if they contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 4, 5 and 8. The research was developed from a bibliographic review of 46 publications from January 2015 to February 2023, in the WoS database. The results identified that family businesses do engage in social CSR activities, however, these practices cannot be directly associated with in business sustainability, and evidence for their contribution to the SDGs is scarce.
