9/11 Terrorist attacks in the United States (US) caused expansive and extensive effects in space and time, which reached counties like Mexico and Canada. Mexico was affected both directly and indirectly too. Directly, because many Mexican illegal migrant workers died in the Twin Towers aggression, and their families were not able to claim a compensation as consequence of their status in the country. Indirectly, because of the enforcement of new immigration regulations that have tightened entry into the US. For its part, the article also describes how Canada was affected too, in areas of common frontier policies such as migration and boarder security.
