PINA OSORIO, JUAN MANUEL y CUEVAS CAJIGA, YAZMÍN. La teoría de las representaciones sociales: Su uso en la investigación educativa en México. Perfiles educativos [online]. 2004, vol.26, n.105-106, pp.102-124. ISSN 0185-2698.
During the last few years in Mexico we can observe the burst of research works whose objective is to study the social representation of educational agents: students, teachers, authorities and parents. The social representations are voiced by a subject and talk about something or someone: an institution, a content, a methodology, an event, a code of conduct, etc. The main purpose of this work consists in drawing up the theory of social representations starting from the proposals made by its main exponents and analyzing the methodological modalities that this theoretical proposal has developed for the educational research in Mexico; the authors also consider that during this decade there will be ever more research works based on this theory.
