This work shows research results about the teachers' ideas on nature of science of secondary chemistry teachers. The population was of 156 chemistry teachers of several States of de country. The epistemological teachers' profiles, was build using a cluster analysis and some aspects relate with the origin of teachers' ideas were reported. In order to gate the data a questionnaire and an interview was applied and these data was analyses throw epistemological categories. Related to the origins, factors like scholar and academic trajectory were investigated finding relationships between their nature of science ideas and the cultural and academic context.
