This paper is the result of the research carried out by in order to describe and systematize the intracurricular qualification process of the Graphic Design Program at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez (Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez, UACJ) and to set out new strategies to guide the actors of this process of drawing up quality projects. The authors emphasize the relevance of boosting and diffusing the development of the best Graphic Design research jobs during each period as a strategy to increase the links between the students and the labor market and point out the relevance that this discipline can achieve at local level if it is seen and recognized as what it really is: an instrument to think about and consider critically the visual communication processes and a tool to salve the problems inherent to this field.
