The purpose of this paper is to report the educational experience of professionals who took a refresher course on early education, in the b-learning modality, with a specific focus on the tutorial role. Course content addressed pedagogical innovation in literacy, along with an introduction to reading and writing in early-childhood education. The implementation of this experience was developed over 10 months; there were a total of 433 participants divided into 22 groups, each group being headed by a specific tutor. Amongst the most important activities undertaken by the tutor was the individual monitoring of each participant, the objective being to support the students with regard to the cognitive, methodological, affective-motivational and administrative aspects of the course; in addition to individual motivation and animation there was an emphasis on promoting student participation in interactive forums and online chat rooms.
