Resumen

VACA URIBE, Jorge. Investigation of the text production process: Microgenetic analysis of writing aided by a digital tool. Perfiles educativos [online]. 2015, vol.37, n.147, pp.126-143. ISSN 0185-2698.

This article analyzes a case of production of a text written on a computer by a single undergraduate student, specifically the translation of a fragment of scientific text from French into Spanish. This activity was conducted using a digital tool called El espia 1.99, developed specifically to support processes of investigation of text production. Based on the case analyzed, we discuss the functioning of the digital tool and its possible technical and methodological contributions to the study of writing. The production process is analyzed taking as framework the cognitive pragmatics developed by contemporary French constructivism and the perspective of situated microgenesis currently being developed in Geneva. We find that the text production process in the case analyzed is comparable to a fractal object, in the sense that multiple local production/fit cycles at different textual levels (lexical, semantic, syntactic, pragmatic, graphic, and orthographic) form two larger cycles, one of production and one of revision of the text, which in turn form the total and unique process of its production.
