SANZ PONCE, Roberto y HIRSCH ADLER, Ana. Ética profesional en el profesorado de educación secundaria de la Comunidad Valenciana. Perfiles educativos [online]. 2016, vol.38, n.151, pp.139-156. ISSN 0185-2698.
This paper derives from the project "Educational innovation and teacher training for secondary education" by the Universidad Católica de Valencia San Vicente Mártir. Its main objective is to diagnose the skills that teachers use in their daily work using a sample of secondary school teachers from the Autonomous Community of Valencia in Spain. It presents their perceptions of their professional ethics in four dimensions: conflicts and ethical dilemmas, deontology, professional identity and ethical skills. The methodology employed is the construction and application of a scale of attitudes based on the theory of reasoned action of Ajzen and Fishbein (1980). Among the findings is the high level of self-awareness among teachers with regard to their professional ethics, and their concern with their relationship with the students and their educational work in the classroom, leaving their social role at a secondary level.
